Chapter 13
P.O.V: Frank's

As me and Gerard made our way down the corridor, hand in hand, I couldn't help but smile..
My life was so perfect right now. Just a matter of months ago I was a self-harming-faggot who was treat like a doormat. But now I have someone who cares for me, someone who loves me.
I looked up at Gerard, he too was smiling. He looked down at me and gave my hand a quick squeeze...

"Frankie did you call your Mom, you know, to let her know you'd be staying with me tonight?" he asked.
Shit. I had completely forgot.."No, I'll ring her now".
I let go of Gerard's hand and pulled off my backpack, smirking as I felt the silk of the inside of the skirt as I slipped my hand inside. I found my phone and quickly typed in her number as me and Gee made our way to the parking lot.
"Hey, Mom I just wanted to let you know I'll be staying at Gerard's tonight"
"Frank, your Auntie and Uncle are over for dinner tonight and you promised you'd be here!"
Shit.
"Oh..sorry Mom, I forgot, hold on a sec" I moved my hand to cover my phone and looked up at a very worried Gee. "Gee, i'm sorry I promised my Mom I'd be there and-"
Gerard's pushed his finger against my lips, "It's okay Frankie, c'mon I'll drop you off", he smiled, but he looked disappointed still.
I nodded and sighed and placed my phone against my ear again.
"Frank! Frank! Are you there?" My Mom yelled down the phone.
"Yeah, yes Mom" I replied loudly, earning a snigger from Gee.
"Frank, I've been trying to say, why don't you invite Gerard over, he can eat with us?" My eyes widened, "What? Really?" I asked with a smile.
"Sure darling, it'd be nice for us to meet your boyfriend officially" My heart skipped a beat. 'Boyfriend'..oh my god..
"O-okay, we'll be there then" I said before saying good bye and hanging up. "Um Gerard" I said, nervously.
"I heard, I'd love to meet them, you know..me being your boyfriend and all" He winked and elbowed my side. I laughed and go into the car, Gerard followed.
"It still sounds weird" I said.
"What?"
"Gerard Way, my art teacher, is my boyfriend." I giggled slightly.
"Well I don't think people would find it weird if we left out the fact that I'm still your teacher" He said with a smirk.
"Good point" I nodded and sat back in the seat. I began to feel nervous, my palms were sweaty, and my knees felt weak, but somehow I knew everything was going to be okay.

We pulled up to my house, my Aunt and Uncles car were already there.
"I'm nervous Gee.." I whispered.
"It'll be okay Frankie, besides, i'm the one who has to be nervous" he kissed my cheek gently and got out of the car. I to made my way out of the car and walked around to stand with Gee outside the front door.
I took a deep breath as I opened the door and made my way inside, shortly followed my Gerard.
"Mom!" I called out, "We're here!"
"Hey Darling" she shouted from the kitchen. "Go wait in the sitting room, i'll be in in a sec."
I took Gerard's jacket and hung it on the rack, along with my backpack.
Gerard gave me a reassuring smile before we walked into the sitting room.
"Hey Aunt Dana, hey Uncle Paul" I greeted, hugging my Aunt before sitting down on the opposite sofa. Gerard sat down next to me, suddenly he didn't seem so confident.
"You must be Gerald" Uncle Paul said, squinting his eyes at Gerard.
"I'm Gerard, yes" Gee replied, his eyes wandered around the room.
"Pleasure to meet you Gerard" Aunt Dana said, reaching out to shake Gerard's hand.
Gerard quickly responded, shaking my Aunt's hand before returning to the sofa, now sitting closer to me.
"You might wanna wash that hand dear, you never know what those gays get up to" said uncle Paul bitterly.
"Paul!" My mother snapped, as she walked into the living room. "Anymore of that and I'll be asking you to leave!" She glared at him before placing the tray of pasta onto the table.
"Gerard i'm sorry, you must excuse my brother, he's a bit of an asswipe" My mom said as she passed me and him a plate.
"That's okay..um-"
"Call me Linda darling"
Gerard nodded and smiled at me, I returned the smile and began to spoon pasta onto my plate.

When the meal was over my Mom, Paul and Dana all went into the kitchen to clean up
"I swear to god Dana the fucking fag has infected us all" I hear my uncle shout from the kitchen. "Not to mention the fact that Franks got it too." I felt so sorry for Gerard right now, I knew he was nervous, which was totally out of character for him, I never realized how homophobic my uncle was.
I squeezed his shoulder and tried to get him to smile, but all I got was a sigh.
"PAUL IERO I WAN'T YOU OUT OF MY FUCKING HOUSE NOW!" screamed my Mom, both me and Gerard looked at each other before staring out the passage-way. "DON'T YOU DARE INSULT MY SON OR HIS BOYFRIEND! THEY HAVE NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF!" We watched as she pushed him out the front door, slamming the door behind him.
My Aunt came into the sitting room, she looked at both of us and mouthed a sorry before she too left the house. My mom sighed and closed the door once more and came back into the sitting room.
"Gerard, i'm so sorry, he's such a - idiot!" My mom sighed as she sat down on the opposite sofa. "I thought it would be a good thing to bring you here but I probably made you feel terrible" my Mom sighed heavily.
"No, um-Linda, tonight's been great, I've loved meeting you all" he said with a grin. "Some people don't agree with us and I guess that's something we can't do anything about" he shrugged and I held his hand, looking up at him. He smiled sweetly at me, and turned to face my mom. "By the way the food was delicious!"
"Awh thank you dear" she grinned. "Frank, your boyfriend is a charm, and a keeper" she winked at me before picking up the remaining dishes and going back into the kitchen.
I rested my head on Gerard's shoulder, the word 'boyfriend' again made my heart flutter. It still didn't seem real.
"Frankie..would it be cruel of me to ask if you could stay with me tonight..I don't feel like sleeping alone tonight" he whispered against my head, caressing my hand gently."
"Not at all, i'll go ask her now" I got up off the sofa giving Gerard a quick peck then going to the kitchen.
"Mom, could I stay at Gee's tonight? I don't wanna leave him alone..?" I asked, putting on my best puppy eyes as I said it.
"Of course dear, just make sure you're back before Monday" she said and then kissed my forehead. "Tell Gerard to come in here for a sec'  would you dear?"
I nodded and called out to Gee.
She looked up from the dishes and smiled at him, "Gerard, I must say it has been an absolute pleasure meeting you" she took off her washing up gloves and walked over to him. "Thank you for making my son happy" She said as she hugged him.
"I believe it is your son that has made me so happy" he smiled from over her shoulder at me.
She pulled back from the hug and tapped my shoulder, "Now go-on you little lovebirds."
"Goodbye Ma" I said, Gerard said his goodbye to her too and we made our way to Gerard's car..
